Pavel Novotný
Pavel Novotný is a poet, translator, Germanist and pedagogue, head of the Department of German Studies at the Technical University of Liberec. He is the author of a number of poetry collections and radiophonic compositions for the Czech Radio. He has received numerous literary awards. In 2010 his radiophonic composition Vesmír (Universe) won the international Prix Bohemia Radio prize. He translated Hans Magnus Enzensberger's cycle of poems The Sinking of the Titanic into Czech and, together with Nikola Mizerová, compiled and translated an anthology of the legendary Wiener Gruppe. As an academic, he is also interested in literary collage and montage and acoustic literature, and has published several monographs on these topics in German and Czech. More on www.pavelnovotny.net
