Inge Arteel

Inge Arteel is Associate Professor of German Literature at the Free University of Brussels (VUB). Her research focuses on post-1945 and contemporary literature and drama in German (with a particular interest in ‘experimental’ authors and playwrights), on text and theatricality, the radio play, and gender studies. She is the author of two monographs on Friederike Mayröcker (Wehrhahn 2012; Aisthesis 2007). Recent contributions and co-edited volumes address the lyrical in Mayröcker’s poetry (Metzler 2020), literary neo-avant-gardes in Dutch and German (Legenda 2020), and radio plays by George Tabori (Germanistische Mitteilungen 45.1-2, 2019) and Gerhard Rühm (Counter Text 5.3, 2019).
