Helena Van Praet

Helena Van Praet is a research and teaching assistant in Dutch and Comparative Literature at Université catholique de Louvain. She studied English and Dutch Literature and Linguistics at Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) and University College London (UCL), earning the 2018 BAAHE (Belgian Association of Anglicists in Higher Education) Thesis Award for her MA thesis on Canadian writer Anne Carson. Her doctoral research focuses on Carson’s experimental poetry from a comparative perspective with the poetry of the Dutch poet-composer Rozalie Hirs. Her work has been published in journals such as Canadian LiteratureSpiegel der Letteren, and Poetics Today.
