Emeline Jouve

Emeline Jouve is Assistant Professor of American Literature and Culture at Champollion University and Toulouse Jean-Jaurès University (France). She has and has published articles in European and American journals and anthologies on Susan Glaspell, Eugene O’Neill, Gertrude Stein, The Living Theatre, Paula Vogel, the Wooster Group and the Big Art Group. She co-edited Susan Glaspell’s Trifles and “A Jury of Her Peers”: Centennial Essays, Interviews, and Adaptations with Martha C. Carpentier (McFarland, 2015), Unspeakable Acts: Murder by Women (Peter Lang, 2016) and Chronique judiciaire et fictionnalisation du procès (Marre et Martin, 2017). Her book Susan Glaspell’s Poetics and Politics of Rebellion was published in 2017 by the University of Iowa Press and her volume of interviews Avignon 68 & Le Living Theatre: mémoire d’une révoltuon was released in 2018 by Deuxième Epoque.
